Changing Spirits - Furselves.

Chapter 38: Comfort.

The next day, afternoon.

Jacinto sighs softly as he sits down on the couch once the groceries are in the fridge. Long workday of racing, confusing and conflicting thoughts, largely spinning around uselessly and arriving to no conclusion at all.

Something about Rowan's resolve to be Akari... no, that's wrong, resolve to be herself has made Jacinto doubly uncertain about what he himself wants about all this. There is definitely a side of him that wants to embrace the feminine, and if what Rowan heard is correct... it would happen if he just wanted it.

That in turn scares him. If it's possible… it's an option.

Not having anything intelligent to note right away, he just takes a bite of the garlic baguette he picked up on the way home and hums into it. "Good to be home. Today felt so long."

Rowan stretches, following Jac' into the living room. She's started growing her hair out, but this is hardly a 'magical change', some part of her surely hoped and dreaded just waking up the next day a girl, but she knew it wouldn't be that easy.

She flops down next to Jac' and smiles, "It's not always that long, right? I mean, before..." She thinks back, "...no, I think I can vouch that work always sucked."

Jacinto snorts, giggling: "...I mean, you're not wrong. The things we do to upkeep our glorious lives."

He is quiet for a moment, then his hand wanders to touch Rowan's back and shoulders and he lightly pulls her closer: "C'mere, you." He leans for a soft kiss.

Rowan happily leans in closer, getting cozy against Jac', "Mmm. This makes it worth it all ."

Jacinto mm's softly. "Yeah. Whatever else, I'm not sure I can imagine not living with you."

Rowan nods, "I know it's felt crazy fast... But I could ask the question I brought up when we first started this madness. Should... I look into selling my house?"

Jacinto hums, then shakes his head. "Hold onto it for now." He raises his free hand. "Not, mind you - because of you really needing it, but..." He formulates his words for a second.

"I did some reading. We don't exactly live in a state that's the best for... you know, being transgender. Aand if you are as you said, and I..." He pauses, not really saying it yet. "...we may be looking for a move in a year or two."

He swallows: "Anyway, my point is, your place is in a good location... it will up in value unlike this old shack."

Rowan nods slowly, "...You... You're thinking of selling this place? I hadn't considered any of that. But... You're not wrong. Still, feels kinda sad. I love this place."

Jacinto nods: "I... I don't know yet. About anything. But..." He swallows: "If even just one of us... decides to go about this, like you have said you want to." He considers. "...living here may not prove ideal."

"It's kinda one thing to know how different people are treated, but another... to be that, isn't it."

Rowan nods slowly, sitting up straight besides Jacinto. "It... Is. I've been thinking about what it might mean if I do start to change. How will people look at me or talk to me differently. It's not exactly all at once, and people I've worked with will know."

She pauses, watching Jacinto carefully, "What about you? You've been thinking about it too, yeah?" It's really not much of a question at this point. "Need to talk about it some more?"

Jacinto swallows, then deflates slightly and relents. "Yeah. I have... thought about it."

"I said 'I don't know', but... that may just be postponing what feels inevitable. I love being in fur. I was swimming in bliss when you..." He blushes: "...'helped' me a week ago. I... if it is... possible..."

He hesitates again, looking at Rowan: "...I may want to."

Rowan smiles softly, taking Jac's hand. "Well, there's not any rush for it, for either of us really. I still think you're right to explore and try things out, I know I'm still going to."

Jacinto nods: "Y-yeah... just that it's there, that it's possible at all... I admit it has me curious. With, uh, magic involved and all." He sighs: "...maybe. One step at a time, but... yeah."

Rowan nods relaxing back against Jac'. "One step at a time. I admit, I think you'd be a gorgeous girl. But that's probably just my own bias talking."

Jacinto feels an odd spark at that. "...'gorgeous girl', huh. I um... wow, that sounds so strange talking about me and not just Cindi."

Rowan hums softly, giggling, "I've always loved how you look Jac'. And whatever you choose, I'm sure you'll still be just as amazing."

Jacinto swallows. "Y-yeah. I don't know." He looks at his hands: "Can I... postpone that thought while we get into fur? I think I need that tonight."

Rowan nods, trying her best not to push Jac', "I wouldn't mind a bit of cuddling in fur."

Jacinto nods, taking Rowan's hand as he gets up. "Just... you know, try and get a feel for the idea... now that I've gone and said it out loud, I guess."

Rowan takes Jac's hand and rises from the couch, "You're speaking to the choir. It feels weird to say or to think... Weird but... Right. Like I'd wished I'd know years ago."

Jacinto nods slowly. "I... guess... in some way, yes. I mean... building Cindi in the first place, maybe it was a wish for something different to begin with. Just, I guess, not that consciously this, not that I had any way of knowing this is possible..." He gives a small, wistful sigh. "I don't know. But I can't deny a desire to try much longer, I think."

Rowan nods, walking alongside Jac' through the house, "Yeah. I never thought of it like that until all this came up. All my suits were female characters, because that just made sense. I never questioned the why of it."

Jacinto blinks: "...shit. You're right. We have always done that, haven't we."

Rowan nods, "Y-yeah. It... I don't know if that means anything or not... But I'm gonna lean towards it meaning something, considering."

Jacinto nods as they step to where they keep their suits, on a free old couch in one of the side rooms. As it very quickly made sense that they should be pretty easily accessible, considering how big part the costumes play on their lives. And apparently are about to play even bigger part.

He takes Cindi's suit in one hand, but before lifting it up, turns and gives Rowan a kiss on the cheek. "Guess we get to decide if it means anything."

Rowan blushes at the kiss, giggling, "I like that. We get to decide." She takes Akari in hand as well, the suiting process having become so easy now, yet no less wonderful feeling.

Jacinto smiles lightly. "Just, you know... still figuring this out. And I've said that a lot lately, so let's just get in fur." He does that, starting the familiar process of getting into the suit, but focusing slightly more on how it feels to have the magic change him. And the accompanying shiver of it feeling incredibly good as it happens.

With the suit on and the head in his paws, he smiles: "See you on this exact same side~."

Rowan giggles as she finishes slipping on the suit, "Oh, very much so, I think~." She watches Jac' for a moment, focusing a little to see if she can spot that moment when the line between Jac' and Cindi blurs, before donning Akari's headpiece as well.

Jacinto hesitates for only the briefest of moments, if this change means anything different now... then gives a mental shrug and puts the headpiece on much like before.

Once she opens her eyes, she gives Akari a warm smile full of love. Whatever else happens, that part is the same.

"Hey there, beautiful."

Akari opens her eyes at the sound of Cindi's voice, and returns her open expression of pure love, "Hey, gorgeous." She pauses a moment, "How you feeling?"

Cindi swallows, but smiles: "Good. I feel good." Her antennae twitch slightly, her smile drops a smidge and she glances aside: "...very good, really. Which... yeah, kind of the point we've been making last couple of days, isn't it."

Akari pulls her into a hug, "Well, it's the point I've been trying to make. Like I said... I want you to be happy, in whatever form you wish."

Cindi hugs tight. "I know... just, I suppose, kinda focusing on it, it's not just the fur that feels good. It's also... that other part." She blushes fiercely, glancing down at their fluffy breasts hugging each other: "...well, that part. It excites me."

Akari giggles, "You excite me. I'm excited for us both! I have... NO idea what's ahead of us. But I just feel like it's going to be amazing. I have nothing to back this up beyond just the feeling I get when I hug you, my Girlfriend."

Cindi blushes fiercely: "A-ack. Um." She runs her mouth for a moment as she feels her blood run cold and hot in turn. "...g-girlfriend? I guess that's not... impossible...?"

Akari backs off the hug slightly (But doesn't let go), "O-oh ahh too much too fast? S-sorry! That's just... Akari getting all excited. One step at a time. One step." She takes a deep breath, trying to contain her excitement, but can't keep the grin off her face, and can't keep her literal glow dimmed.

Cindi blushes, looking aside: "J-just, um... give me time. I... I..." She swallows, hesitating as her thoughts trail. "...I like the feminine side. A lot. I just don't know if it's... that much. You know."

Akari's ears fold back as she nods, "Sorry again, love. I let Akari do the thinking for a second there."

Cindi sighs, but then smiles at Akari again. "I know. And... I love that excitement usually, just, this time... this is big stuff and I need to wrap my brain around it, you know?"

Akari nods, "I get that... I just... I know how it's all made me feel. I... I'm excited to share that. But you have every right to whack me in the head if I get too excited or make you uncomfortable. I want you to find what makes you happy, boyfriend, girlfriend, or whatever other you find makes you feel complete."

Cindi considers for a moment, then smiles: "Well, as always... at least the 'friend' part is pretty consistent. Let's start from that." She takes a deep breath: "And... I have no idea which side of me is talking, and you have to pardon my directness, but..."

She leans closer to whisper: "...I want to share a shower with you and feel you up. Right now."

Akari takes her turn to blush brightly, before she giggles and nods. "I'd enjoy all of that~"

Cindi takes Akari's hand in her paw and starts leading the way: "I don't know where I stand with things out of fur. But I definitely know where I stand with them in fur. And I just want to... not think, for a bit."

Akari follows, squeezing Cindi's paw, "I'm always happy to be a distraction and a fluffy support doe~"

Cindi giggles: "You know you're more than that, but let's go~." She leads the way to the shower room, tail wagging.

Akari grins, "Sure I am, but when you need those two things, I'm here for you."

Cindi leans over to nuzzle Akari's neck, "Yup~", before quickly turning around from the doorway to the room itself. "Right now I just want to get wet with you~."

Akari holds Cindi close as the two maneuver their way into the shower. She leans in as Cindi nuzzles against her and whispers, "The really hard truth about that is... I like to get wet and touch you just as much~"

Cindi giggles and whispers back: "Oh no, what have I gotten myself into~" She fiddles the shower on with her paw behind her, and somehow manages it without either freezing or burning them.
