BRUNILDA AND FIORA'S HOME - EARLY MORNING
----------------------------------------------
Brunilda is sleeping soundly. Perhaps more deeply than she has in a while. Something about being a small possum has made her sleeping awfully restless, even when there is nothing to be afraid of. But tonight, for whatever reason, resting on top of Fiora, the sleep comes just fine and stays like that throughout the night.
Fiora was sleeping soundly, restored to her normal self, with her possom girlfriend nestled atop her. Sleeping soundly until it starts to get kinda hot in their room. And heavy...? Not like that. Slowly, she starts to struggle with the extremely heavy blanket atop her until she slowly wakes up. "Mrph... ugh... B-Brun? Brun... Brun! Brunilda! Ack!" She starts to prod the elephant on top of her. "Umph... wake up! Hey! You're back to you! Hey!"
Brunilda shifts to her side, grumbling in her sleep but getting off of Fiora. "Mmrrrm. No wakey yet." She pushes her head into the pillow, refusing to do any anknowledgement of being awake.
Fiora coughs for breath as Brunilda rolls off, taking a moment to recover herself before she sits up and continues to prod the elephant in excitement, "No! No you wake up right now! Hey, c'mon you can't just go back to sleep at this!"
Brunilda hums confusedly into her pillow: "Mmmrm?" She shifts her head to the side, but doesn't open her eyes. "Whassit? Sleep at what?" Slowly, some kind thought inches its' way through her tired mind, but it hasn't quite found a target in the dozing elephant's head...
Fiora rolls her eyes slightly, "You've changed, Brun! It was just... I dunno... late? Delayed?" She pokes Brun's trunk. "You're back to yourself!"
Brunilda blinks awake at the touch to her trunk, something she has not felt in a while: "Awuh? What?" She pauses, takes a consideration of the current situation, and looks at Fiora in confusion: "I'm... back?"
Fiora sighs, laughing, "That's what I've been saying, yes!"
Brunilda giggles as reality reasserts itself in elephant-proportioned kind of way. "S-seems so!" She wrestles with her changed muscles for a second, before lifting her trunk towards Fiora's cheek: "Hi, you."
Fiora continues to smirk, reaching up with her hand to touch the trunk and reach her other arm around to half-hug Brun, "Hello to you as well!"
Brunilda smiles warmly at the giraffe: "It's nice to be back." She shifts to hug Fiora: "It's nice to have you back in a way that I can like - properly - hug you."
Fiora fully hugs back with both arms, and wraps her neck around Brun's shoulder as well. "A Big hug, yeah. Been quite awhile since we've been able to do this."
Brunilda gives a soft laugh: "Feels like it, for sure." She wraps her trunk around Fiora's neck: "Not sure I want to let you go at all this morning."
Fiora squeezes strongly, "You got any reason that says you can't?"
Brunilda ponders for half a second: "Well, no, not really. Just gonna keep you here, really."
Fiora pulls her head back up around to look at Brun, "We've been through a lot! I think it's a perfect excuse why we should take an extra day for ourselves."
Brunilda giggles: "Yeah, let's take that one and run... or really, not run with it. Stay here." She squeezes Fiora: "Love you."
Fiora settles back down into bed, still holding her arms around Brun, squeezing back, "Back on the running schedule tomorrow. Love you too, Brun."
Brunilda hums as she holds Fiora as best she can now again: "Tomorrow can wait. Today, we're not tiny anymore."
Fiora lets out a breath, "It feels good... not gonna lie. I wasn't really worried, but also... you know. I was sorta worried about it all."
Brunilda sighs as well: "Yeah... it wasn't bad, just... different, but like, not really us? I guess you could call it perspective."
Fiora leans her head down to rest against Brun's. "Yeah... like you said yesterday, there's weird things I'm gonna miss about that form. Other stuff, not so much."
Brunilda hums: "Yeah... not going to miss being unable to carry like... anything." She pauses. "I mean, I'd still be me if I couldn't, but... you know."
Fiora nods, "I'd have to make all new armor... if I were even big enough to run the forge and anvil. Pain in the ass."
Brunilda looks at Fiora: "You would look at least as cute in said armor, though."
Fiora considers for a moment... "I'd have made a matching set for you. Tiny twin adorable warriors!"
Brunilda giggles: "We'd definitely make those outfits work! ...maybe a bit awkwardly, but we'd do it."
Fiora hums, "I kinda want to try to build them now just to see... but I think I've got plenty of stuff to do before that."
Brunilda laughs, closing her eyes: "Maybe not the first priority, then."
Fiora sighs, "Gotta find that Saur again, plus Gareth should be back by now... told Cavro I'd try to get him some work. But I'll have to find time for sparring with you once we're both up to it."
Brunilda smiles: "As always, love it when you spar with me." She pauses: "Guess I'll get back to my routines, see if anything pops up."
Fiora laughs, "I'm sure your weasel friend can find something for you to do if you want... but ah, that can all wait." She shifts a bit to get cozy, and lays against Brunilda. "I'm glad we're back."
Brunilda holds Fiora close as tightly and warmly as she is able: "Me too."

BOUQUET ESTATE - AFTERNOON
----------------------------------------------
Rondelethia was feeling pretty creaky, though trying to stay 'active'. Right now though, she was doing inventory, making sure that the estate had enough of what it needed, and ordering in anything that was short. Right now, she was considering how much estate meat should be ordered. She sighs, pen slipping from her fingers. She was notably more clumsy as claws had grown in, and she was quite used to her new 'writing position'. "This is like puberty, all over again.." Grumble.
Calgwen knocks politely before he opens the door to step into Rondelethia's office. Carrying a pitcher of water and a charcuterie board he had the house chef put together, but offered to carry in to Rondelethia himself. He takes note of the grumbling as he steps inside, cringing a little bit, "Oof. That bad, dear? I brought a bit of a snack, if you're interested?"
Rondelethia: "Oh. I don't mind at all, and..yeah" She wiggles a paw, which has some rather wicked sharp claws on them "I'm hoping they'll be retractable eventually..dragons are just giant cats after all~" She chuckles lightly "But for now, I'm relearning how to hold a pen" Which she puts down "What do you have then? I think I've got quite the carnivore growing inside of me..."
Calgwen glances down at his hand, his finely manicured claws extending out just a little. "The claws can be a bit uncomfortable to keep retracted, so once you're able to do so, be sure to practice flexing them out, especially so you don't let them extend out accidentally." He walks in and sets the tray down on the side of the table, displaying a simple platter of bread and cheese, with a much more ornate layout of meat, "Sliced capocollo, prosciutto, sopressata... I do believe our chef has added a bit of everything in the pantry here... perhaps he is trying to gauge your preferences? Ah, that one is calabrese. Careful with that one, it can be a bit spicy."
Rondelethia: "Sure!" She may be slowly dragoning, but she's still a refined lady, and knows how to work a cheese board, selecting small amounts, and adding in select meats "It's so much easier now that I've got you to bug me to eat" She takes a few tastes, including the spicy one! She startles a little bit, her ears going red..and staying that way, reshaping themselves, just a little, to be more angular, more draconic "Oh.." She hmms, feeling up, before taking out a mirror "Oh..well.." She wiggles them, showing off to Calgwen "What do you think?"
Calgwen blinks at the changes, watching with a quiet concern over curiosity, his own ears twitching out of sympathy, but that's probably nothing. Once it's apparent that Rondelethia is okay, he relaxes, leaning in to plant a gentle kiss upon her forehead, "They're cute. I rather like the old look, but I can't say this new one is bad either." He pauses, taking a bit of cheese himself, humming. "It's a difficult position to be in... how can I say you always look good without it sounding meaningless?"
Rondelethia: "It's truly a cruel task you have been set, to compliment my new look, without disparaging the old" She returns a kiss to him "Don't worry, flattery is flattery. I shall accept it all at face value" Taking a bit more of the meat "Though, I do wish that all this didn't come with back pains, even if all woman get that as part of the wonderful miracle of childbirth" She hmms "Has Teis hassled you about all the various experiments she wants to do yet?"
Calgwen 's face falls a bit at mention of Teis, and he nods, "Ah, yes. I have agreed to help her, barring whatever conditions you may have put on her experiments. She took a sample of my 'magic aura'? I don't truly understand, but... Ah, she... thinks I did this to you on purpose. That I knew this would happen... I had thought Teis and I were building some trust up, but it seems this has set back any progress we made towards friendship."
Rondelethia: "An interesting theory. Even if you did, I'd have hoped she'd know that I would have needed to give my consent" She ponders "Honestly, that theoretical is rather silly. I can't imagine you offering, even if you could" She giggles, and does an impression "Hey Baby, what to become a dragon! You'll, be big, and fangy, and won't be able to hold pens"" She nods "I think now, I'd agree, but only if you also agreed to become a bun. Conservation of Bunjitsu is important in any relationship!" She giggles again, it's a very silly idea to her "But yeah, she was at me too. I told her I'd help, but nothing towards the baby. I'll probably have to remind her of that when she inevitably forgets"
Calgwen chuckles, reaching down to pick up the pen and fiddle with it in his hand. "I know I'm an interloper here, and I respect Teis. She's intelligent, and strong, and quite indepedant... much like her sister." He sighs, "Yes... I didn't know this would happen... though, I suppose thinking back, I should have thought it might be possible? It's never happened before, which does make it quite exciting, but, concerning and scary too. I just want to be sure both you and the baby are in perfect health and happiness." He fumbles the pen out of his hand, then chuckles. "Seems I'm a bit clumsy today too? Perhaps that's a lesser known draconic trait? To be honest, had I known this would happen, I wouldn't have asked you for such a thing so quickly in getting to know you. But maybe in time? And if it required some change on my part, then I would glady accept it."
Rondelethia puts her hand up to his cheek "You're not an interloper, you're part of the family, even if you came in a bit later on. You're respecting boundries, and..I think that's very noble of you, but you're also my husband..or close enough. What's a bit of paperwork when our child is already growing" She's distracted by the pen, and giggles "but...maybe it is, I wouldn't ever ask you to change. A relationship is about well, loving the person that you are, and if you want to change, loving that. I would never think you'd ask me to do anything like this, but if I'd known ahead of time, I wouldn't have changed anything" There's a thoughtful pause "Well, mostly because the 30 year old scotch was making most of our decisions, but you get my point"
Calgwen stares at Rondelethia as she speaks, the frown upon his face fading into a tender smile. "I do. And you're right. And I admit that it was very good scotch that night. And I think I misspoke a little in that regard, I wouldn't ask You to change who you are, ever. The outside... while beautiful in whatever form it takes, is just cosmetic."
Rondelethia: "Oh, it's okay to admit you're curious what I'll look like all dragony. I'm curious too" She makes her best 'dragony face', and lets out a 'Rawr'. It's..not very convincing. "...Soon~"
Calgwen chuckles, feigning injury, "'Rawr'? Is That what I sound like?" He sighs, grinning, "I am curious, it's true. Soon we'll both see. Though I do hope you can muster up a better roar." He takes a deep breath as if to demonstrate, only to end up coughing instead, turning into a laugh, "Ah, never eat cheese and roar, dear. The two do not mix."
Rondelethia: "I'll take that under advisement" She chews a bit of meat "If you're listening sweet child of mine, perhaps next you could fix me up with some teeth to actually eat all this meat you have me craving?" She muses also to Calgwen "I am looking forward to being able to enjoy it the way I assume you're meant to, and not just..sliced up thinly"
Calgwen goes to take a seat, continuing to pick at the cheese and crackers whilst leaving most of the meat to Rondelethia as the two continue to chat over more mundane things around the manor, and to get the estate's supply order finalized to boot, complete with a more detailed meat order.
