BRUN AND FIORA'S HOME - EVENING

----------------------------------------------

Brunilda climbs up onto the relatively huge bed with some effort - the bed is still big and hard to get onto, even as she has gotten a better grip onto this climbing thing over the last bit. Finding her way towards the center of the bed, she strips down to just her underwear, sits down and lets out a relieved sigh. "Finally at this point in the day."

Fiora follows after Brun, climbing her way up the sheets and onto the bed. She chuckles, stripping off her own shirt and pants as well, "It is kind of the best part of being this small, isn't it?"

Brunilda nods: "It is. Although it's still so strange, just the amount of... like, energy, we use now? I feel like I'm hungry right after eating." She shrugs with a smile at her lover.

Fiora laughs, "You'd think smaller folks means you eat less! I mean, I guess we do? Sure feels like more though. I dunno... Still, not like sleeping has been a problem, at least."

Brunilda leans back on her hands: "Yeah, true. Though I was always a heavy sleeper, didn't imagine this would really change it." She glances at Fiora: "How about you, feel any different with that?"

Fiora turns and falls backwards onto the bed next to Brun with little impact in the mattress. "I dunno... I was a light sleeper... could sleep anywhere. Just came with the job, you know? Had to sleep in armor sometimes, middle of nowhere, always had to keep ready to spring into action. I've felt like right now I just hit the pillow and I could sleep through anything."

Brunilda nods: "Fair enough. I guess with the Guard stuff I was trained for, the challenge never was in falling asleep... it was more often staying awake when just standing still." She hums: "At least with the wall patrol here you get to walk a bit."

Fiora hums, "Just another reason I was never meant for guard duty. Not much for 'standing still'. I always want to run in and smash stuff first."

Brunilda giggles, a small chirping sound at best: "Well, true. Admittedly it's hard imagine you staying put if you were on guard duty."

Fiora folds her arms behind her head, a gesture that would have been impossible normally, as she stares up at the ceiling. "It wasn't for me, for sure. Guess we'll see how much I can stand doing Gareth's whole guard training thing. It should be easy. I'm sure I can find ways not to get bored with it."

Brunilda leans back to lie down as well, smiling: "I'm sure you can find a way to make it 'yours'. As many ways to fight as there are fighters, and all that."

Fiora nods, shifting to glance over at Brun, "Yeah, that's true. I'll figure it out, once Gareth is back from Orela... I do hope we're back to normal before then though."

Brunilda hums: "Admittedly it would make everything a lot harder if we're like this longer." She sighs: "...and admittedly not a thought ever too far from my head, that 'what if we're stuck like this?' part."

Fiora sighs, "I still... try not to think about that. I mean... we've figured stuff out pretty well, right? Breakfast is easier than it was that first day, at least."

Brunilda shrugs as she stares at the ceiling: "Yeah. We're not like... done for, or anything. It's just inconvenient and, yeah, a different perspective."

Fiora: "A different perspective, and a new life... I still... I mean, if Erika can't figure stuff out, we can always go to Vamas and try the Hunter's Guild." She grows silent a moment, then chuckles, "If I wasn't already probably done as a Bounty Hunter going back to get this fixed would definitely end that career, I'd wager."

Brunilda turns to look at Fiora: "How so? Ruin your reputation?"

Fiora chuckles, "Yeah, mostly. Though if they can change us back, then I think I could still beat the hell out of anyone that laughs."

Brunilda laughs softly: "Fair enough. And, yeah, you would." She leans over to give Fiora a soft nuzzle: "Admittedly, being able to do this, like this, is a bit of a plus side I'm going to miss."

Fiora scoots closer to Brun and nuzzles back, "It does feel pretty nice."

Brunilda giggles at the feeling on her whiskers: "S-strange, but very nice." She closes her eyes and leans on Fiora slightly: "It's pretty complicated, all this... like, this is not bad, and we're still us, but not us, and... I'm way overthinking this, aren't I."

Fiora giggles, "Well, I'm not thinking about it at all, or trying not to. So I guess there's probably a good balance there with the two of us."

Brunilda gives a happy, agreeing sigh: "As usual, that might be the case. We do complement each other, in that way."

Fiora grins, "We're a good team-up. Make up for one another's weaknesses. Watch each other's backs. I count on you."

Brunilda nuzzles Fiora again: "Me too, you. Watch out for each other, be there for each other... wouldn't have it any other way." She opens her eyes and smiles: "You're the best, at times."

Fiora smirks, and nods, "I know I am, yeah. But you do manage to best me quite a bit regardless. What's our score in the sparring ring? I'm not that far ahead of you."

Brunilda smiles: "Recently? You've definitely caught onto this form faster than I have. Overall? I have no idea anymore. But we can allow you to be ahead so I have something to work towards."

Fiora reaches out to punch Brun's arm lightly. "Sounds about right, yep. I don't know if I figured this out faster, or was just more willing to jump first and figure the rest out later. That's how I do things. You think it through and do things better."

Brunilda giggles: "Sometimes better, anyway. I wish I had your guts to dive into things." She gives Fiora a light punch back: "For better or for worse, you make things happen while I'm still pondering if I am going to do anything at all."

Fiora sticks her tongue out. "Yeah, but sometimes that kind of thing ends up with me on my ass in a basement we didn't know we had sucking in some kinda spooky possom dust. So... you know..."

Brunilda sticks her tongue out in turn: "Well, there you have it." She smiles then a bit warmer: "It's not like we could have known what was down there."

Fiora: "No... but... err..." She tries to think for a minute, then shrugs, "Yeah guess we had no clue at all."

Brunilda shakes her head: "No darn clue. It's not really something you suspect when you buy a place." She pauses. "Well, at least didn't before. Next time we might."

Fiora nods, "Always check for hauntings and secret labs. Check."

Brunilda giggles: "Not sure if that comes standard practice, but we can try to spread the word around."

Fiora giggles as well, "I mean, with everything else that's happened since I've gotten into town... is it the weirdest thing? Maybe it is."

Brunilda shrugs, then gets back up to sitting, in order to glance at her back... her entirely scar-free, perfectly fine furred back. "Ranks pretty high, at least. My burn wounds are all gone now."

Fiora tilts her head reaching up to run a hand down Brun's back. "Huh... magic burns don't go away for just nothing, but I guess this counts. Wonder if it'll come back when we change back?"

Brunilda hums: "I hope not. That's like the one thing I wish wouldn't go back to as it was."

Fiora pulls her hand back to check herself, tracing her thumb over a few seemingly random spots. "My scars are gone too... even the one from the broken leg... huh. It probably sounds weird but they were kind like badges for me, each of them marked a story, a victory of some sort."

Brunilda shifts to look Fiora over: "...yeah, you're right. I guess we changed so much that like, the scars didn't have a place to be, anymore?" She frowns: "I'm not sure that makes any sense, but eh."

Fiora seems a little more concerned about this, before moving her hand away from her waist. "I... don't know. I didn't even think about it until now but... seems weird. I... guess that's cool? Feels like I actually have lost a part of me with that..."

Brunilda blinks, then leans to hug Fiora some more: "Far as I am concerned, you're every bit you as you ever were."

Fiora leans into the hug, responding in kind with a sigh, "I... I know. We've been through that, we've talked it out, and we're both all here, all the same. But it's... a weird thought, that's all." She's clearly still a bit disturbed by the line of thinking, but manages to force a smile back on her face.

Brunilda smiles: "I think we have achieved enough 'weird' for a lifetime. Or two." She closes her eyes as she holds Fiora close: "Important thing is, we do the weird together."

Fiora lets out a sigh as she hugs back, "Yeah... I don't think the weird's gonna stop, so long as you're with me."

Brunilda frowns, squeezing a bit: "Stop that. You're not some harbinger of crazy to my life, any more than I am to yours."

Fiora chuckles, giving Brun a squeeze in turn, "Ahh, fair... you're right..."

Brunilda sighs herself, feeling her hands around Fiora's shoulders: "Not as often as you think I am, but maybe this time you'll let me be."

Fiora snrks, "Guess it's up to fate to prove you right or wrong... but I'm gonna choose to believe you one way or another."

Brunilda nuzzles closer: "And I believe in you, Fiora."

Fiora rests her head down against Brun's shoulder, "Heh... thanks. I don't... I don't need to hear that often. But sometimes just need a bit of something, you know? Needed that."

Brunilda smiles: "I think everyone needs it at times. Me probably more than you, but I can be your confidence builder when need be, too."

Fiora laughs, "Feels pretty good when you get a punch to have someone pull you back up. Thanks, Brun. I will gladly tell you the truth anytime you need to hear it too."

Brunilda hums as she leans on Fiora: "I think we're pretty good at that part, really."

Fiora snuggles up against Brun, "We are. We're pretty good at a lot of stuff together, I'd say."

Brunilda giggles: "Probably, yeah. I like that..." She leans on Fiora, holding her close: "Love you."

Fiora gets cozy, hugging Brun as well as the two start to doze off to sleep, "Love you too, Brun."
