BRUNFIORA'S HOME - EARLY MORNING
----------------------------------------------
Brunilda slowly gains consciousness from her dreams... oddly restless dreams. Also feeling like something is oddly heavy on top of her...? The elephant for the moment ignores this feeling and attempts to get back to dreaming. Unfortunately she fails in this endeavor, letting out a groan as an outward sign of her discomfort.
Fiora , despite her transformed state and any potential worries regarding it, is nonetheless a sound sleeper. Being able to sleep sitting up in full armor does tend to mean one can sleep anywhere and anytime the opportunity arises. If anything, Brunilda is pretty cozy in this form, even if it feels a bit different now as she lies draped over the strange lumpy feeling beneath her.
Brunilda lets out another groan. Definitely getting pretty uncomfortable, which in turn is rapidly waking the elephant up. "Mmmf! What the-" She blinks her eyes open, and the room seems... is it that much of a morning already? She turns her head slightly, wishing the weight off her chest: "Mmmrrff..."
Fiora groggily starts to wake up, "Mrph... careful Brun... give me a sec to wake up before you start jostling me around..."
Brunilda blinks awake and sees Fiora's face right in front of hers: "Oh, um... how'd you get on my... face...?" This makes no sense. How can her currently-tiny girlfriend be both on her face and on her chest?
Fiora is fast to wake from years of going from sleep into action, and her eyes snap open after a second as she analyzes Brun's face... She blinks again, "...Fuck. Brun? Brun! Don't panic, okay?"
Brunilda blinks in turn, confused by Fiora not-panic: "Bwuh? Panic about what?"
Fiora frowns, "You know that whole transformed into a pygmy possom thing that happened to me?"
Brunilda raises an eyebrow at the big... or not-big possum still on top of her: "Hard to not to since you're right there, love." Something is dawning on her, but not quite connecting yet.
Fiora nods awkwardly, "And uh, you know how you followed me into the secret basement where whatever turned me into this... um... was? Is?"
Brunilda frowns: "You're not usually one for guessing games..." The dots finally connect as she turns her head enough to lift a very, very small paw in front of her and she sees the huge mounds of bed around them: "...oh crud."
Fiora slowly shifts off of Brun, keeping an eye on her the entire time. "Uhhh, yeah... that's my thought exactly. Soooo uhhh... guessing whatever happened to me decided to sneak up on you too." She slumps a little, "Crap... sorry."
Brunilda looks at Fiora, then lets out a deep sigh as she gets up to properly have a look at herself. Very small. Lots more fur than before. She looks at Fiora: "N-not really your fault, I guess." Her voice shakes a bit: "J-just, we're both small now. A-aren't we?"
Fiora gives Brun a full, tight hug as they sit on the bed together. "We're both small, yeah. Good news is we're both small Together, at least right?"
Brunilda hugs back, shivering a bit though she manages a smile: "Y-yeah. We can, uh, do this. Um, somehow." She lets go of the hug, lifts a paw to her forehead and gives a soft sigh: "N-none of this makes sense but I will delay thinking about it until after breakfast." She leans onto the hug again.
Fiora continues to hug as needed. "I've probably been in worse situations than this... it's not as bad as you think, but maybe that's because I just don't think, you know?"
Brunilda leans into the hug for a moment longer, before attempting to gather herself: "You may be right. If we just... d-deal with it, and not stress... much as we can, we'll do better?" The elephant-turned-pygmy-possum is really trying to not overthink the situation.
Fiora grins guiltily, "That's pretty much how I've lived my whole life. Um... want to try to get breakfast then?"
Brunilda lets out a nervous giggle: "...if you think we can get to the kitchen counter. I can't climb-" she glances at her newly-acquired paws: "...well, probably can't."
Fiora stands up, only slightly shaky on the bed, and nods. "Eh, I've done some climbing in my younger days! Caused a bit of roof damage doing it too. Usually not on purpose. So I'll take the lead on this, alright?"
Brunilda gets up, definitely feeling shaky - and very light - as she stands up. She can't quite deny the adventurous feeling at the back of her head, though, as she gives Fiora a smile: "Sounds like a plan, then. We can-" She looks about the room and to the window: "Wait, the sun's not even up and I can see this well? You too, then?"
Fiora blinks, looking around, "Oh yeah, huh? I didn't even notice that, but I guess we got up a bit later yesterday? My whole body feels super fast though, like I'm a bunch of coiled springs ready to snap! Not like I ever felt I was sluggish before, but this just feels... different."
Brunilda shifts on her feet as Fiora talks, nodding: "Now that you... mention it. Yeah. I can sort of feel that. That kind of subtle tenseness, like ready run at a moment's notice? Huh." She shrugs as she looks at her girlfriend: "Well, guess we can go find out what we can do."
Fiora walks to the edge of the bed, looking down. "No help getting around today... Heh. Well, it's not that big a drop." She hops down off the bed without much of a second thought.
Brunilda blinks as Fiora jumps, rushing to the edge of the bed before she even realizes how silly her reaction to the not-really-drop is. She leans over to look at Fiora on the floor: "Oh. Right. Still just the bed." She shakes her head, then makes her way down just a bit more carefully than Fiora did.
Fiora stands back up, rubbing her butt. "Oof... yeah, still just the bed. Maybe should've kicked some blankets or something down." She turns to watch Brun much more carefully descend. "Ahhh... yeah, that would work too."
Brunilda lets out a soft laugh despite the utter absurdity of the situation: "Well, gotta try different methods, right?" She looks up and around gets just a moment of vertigo: "Oh my... how small are we now? This is crazy."
Fiora smiles at Brun, "You're still cute though. So no worries about that." She glances around the bedroom, having never really stood on the floor the previous day with Brun carrying her everywhere. "...yeah, it's... a lot, I guess. Plenty of small folk live like this though, right?"
Brunilda looks about for a second, before finding her smile again and giving Fiora's shoulder a push: "At least you're also still cute. So we're even."
Fiora laughs, stepping closer to wrap an arm around Brun's shoulder and start to walk her towards the kitchen. "Damn straight I am! I guess just keep an eye out... dropping off the bed is one thing, but down into the basement might cause a lot more than a sore ass."
Brunilda giggles as they walk, unable to deny that this new perspective is kind of exciting as well as utterly scary. "Yeah, might be best we don't take a second trip down there just yet. Or ever." She gasps at the sheer size of their house: "...this is so going to take some time getting used to, isn't it."
Fiora shrugs, still holding Brun. "Hopefully not? But if it does, then yeah, so it will. I'd rather not have to take a boat to Vamas like this if we don't have to, though."
Brunilda looks just a tinge of green at the thought of that: "...y-yeah, let's hope not. I don't think I could take sea travel like this. Or possibly any travel if I don't have to."
Fiora chuckles, "Then we figure out a solution here, and we don't worry about that!" It... sure takes a lot longer to reach the kitchen than it feels like it should have. Still, they've made it. "Oh... those counters are... really high."
Brunilda looks up: "...yeah. Wow." She walks next to a counter and frowns: "...talk about new things in familiar territory."
Fiora tilts her head a bit to consider. "So... what do we want to make? What can we even get to? The pantry door is... hmmm."
Brunilda raises her paw, then lowers it. "Um... good question. Which ones can we even get open? I have no idea how strong I am like this..."
Fiora walks over to the pantry door and glances up at the know. "I mean, shouldn't take much to pull it open, just a matter of actually opening the latch? Why did we put a latch on the pantry door anyways?"
Brunilda blinks: "Uh... I'm sure there was a reason. And I'll feel right stupid when I remember what it was." She shakes her head: "Nevermind. How DO we open that?"
Fiora shrugs, reaches out her paws and cracks her knuckles. "Guess we'll give climbing a try! Just be ready to pull the door open, if you can!" She hesitates a moment, then sets her hands to the door, finding purchase much easier than expected, she quickly starts to make progress up the door.
Brunilda blinks a couple of times as she sees her girlfriend climb rather nimbly, then belatedly realizes to get next to the doorframe, ready to pull when Fiora gets up: "R-ready. Be careful!"
Fiora laughs, "Ha! This is easier than expected! No worries, dear!" She makes it the rest of the way up to the handle, then does a bit of a leap to it, turning the door know with a bit of effort, "Okay! Uh, pull!"
Brunilda pulls at the door as she is best able, finding the normally weightless door resisting her efforts greatly: "Unnngh! It's not moving, it's... o-okay I got it moving. Eek!" She hastily steps out of the way, having nudged the door harder than she intended. The door slowly moves perhaps halfway open, but from their perspective it's a lot of movement in a short time.
Fiora flails a bit as the door moves, clinging to the handle, but quickly adjusts her grip back to the edge of the door as it swings open. She scampers down the side, finding climbing down just as easy as climbing up. She hops down next to Brun moments later, looking a bit out of breath and exhilirated, "Ha! Well! That was a bit of an adventure! We can push it open the rest of the way together pretty easy I bet! But uh, yeah! Climbing! These hands were basically made for it!"
Brunilda giggles nervously: "W-well, one step at a time, right?" She looks up: "A-although, the idea of climbing it's... kinda neat, isn't it?"
Fiora: "Without the prospect of crashing down to the ground in plate armor? Could be a lot of fun!"
Brunilda hums: "I suppose we won't fall even remotely as hard as we would have just the other day..."
Fiora helps push the pantry door open, glancing up at the shelves. "Yeah... you're probably right about still being careful but... I think we can make this work."
Brunilda glances up at the shelves, then at Fiora: "Well, if anyone's crazy enough, it's us. Who knew making breakfast would become such an adventure?"
Fiora grins wide, "Well, I've always said you'd be a perfect adventuring partner. Shall we begin?"
Brunilda giggles: "Let's. This is crazy, but let's try to enjoy it anyway. So how did you climb just now?"
Fiora steps towards the shelves, proceeding to demonstrate how she was able to climb, as the two work together to make themselves a fairly simple breakfast of adventure! (and also actual breakfast)
