BOUQUET ESTATE - LIBRARY - AFTERNOON
----------------------------------------------
Calgwen: brings in several catalogs he has retrieved from the Lorekeeper in town, setting them down on the small reading table. It's a collection of various wedding related books highlighting the latest in designs and decor from Sarn, with one or two more exotic Orelan catalogs as well, just for flavor. He hums to himself, as he sits on the chaise lounge, his tail curling around to drape off the edge as he gets comfortable. "I think that should be enough to get started. The Lorekeeper was quite helpful... if a bit overt about how much he knows. Hmph. Some things never change."
Rondelethia: "Like a dragon showing off his wings" She chuckles, rubbing her head on those wings as he enters. She's still not really 'showing', for the moment things appear to be progressing slowly, which was good! Gave them some time to work with "So, I suppose we start with the basic marriage set up. White dress, flowers, nice safe musical choices" She muses "Always good to have something to compare it to..though I feel the white dress should change. It'll clash terribly with my fur" She looks to him. He's the expert in clothing stuff!
Calgwen ruffles his feathers in response, frowning a bit at her words, his white feathered wings stretching out to fold around her. "I don't think white clashes at all! Though perhaps my feathers are more of an off-white. An egg-shell white, if you will." He gives her an appraising eye. "Perhaps you're right. Though we'll be perfectly timed for a Spring-wedding, perhaps some pastels would work best? I'm happy to follow your lead in this!"
Rondelethia: "I'll be wearing the white dress, silly" She sticks her tongue out "Though, I'm sure you could absolutely pull a gown off, I think we're not going to stray from tradition that much" She muses "A pink? That would give the gossipers something to talk about. I've never really been a pink sort of girl, maybe I could be? Nothing wrong with pink" She considers Calgwen "Pink and blue? That a bit on the nose? It feels like it might be a bit on the nose"
Calgwen chuckles, "I think I could pull it off... but yes, probably for the best not to get too wild." He picks up one of the dress catalogs and flips through it idly. "If the intent is to draw attention away... perhaps a bit too on the nose. If your heart is set on it, I wouldn't say no, though."
Rondelethia: "Well, my real heart is getting to the after party in one piece" She chuckles "I think the pink could be pretty though" She ponders "What would a dragon such as yourself normally wear?"
Calgwen hums, considering. "I have a few suits I have worn to weddings, but never one to my own! Ah, I am unsure! I do like green... it has always gone the best with my scales. Perhaps a dark green? Or a lighter one that could go well with the pink? It wouldn't be as overt as a blue either..."
Rondelethia: "Some shade of green. I like that" She agrees "We can work out the shades together" She takes a few notes "You mentioned a spring wedding, want to make that a theme? Spring flowers, Rabbits do have a sort of..association with spring, and of course..." She gestures vaguely at herself "There's that hidden joke..."
Calgwen raises an eyebrow, "Hidden joke? I'm unsure I know what you mean. I've heard... well, there is that stereotype of rabbits being rather... um... well..." He flusters himself, blushing beneath his scales, before quickly trying to change the topic, "A Spring theme does seem a rather easy choice, yes."
Rondelethia chuckles again, leaning her head against his for a moment. His scales are nice to lean on, so she's always looking for an excuse "Any flowers you like? We probably have time to get some from Sarn, especially since Mom and Father will be coming. They can bring some with them"
Calgwen gently leans back against her in turn. His scales feel somewhat cool to the touch, but seem to grow warm with prolonged contact. "Hmm. I'm not sure I have a preference? Whatever flowers you like best are fine with me."
Rondelethia takes this as a sign she should keep her head there then! "Lillies then" She smirks "Dragon Lillies"" There's a pause "Okay, I'm punning, but I should see what they look like before I commit" She turns to the right page on the flower book "Hmmm. Do I have a dirty mind or do they kinda...?"
Calgwen coughs, squirming slightly, "Well I wouldn't say that but... Err..." He flips the page, "Maybe... lilacs? I suppose I do rather like lilacs."
Rondelethia: "Ooh, Lilacs" Change of subject! "We could certainly go with that. Maybe to match the dress colour?" She ponders "Yeah, They could form some wreaths"
Calgwen: "Oh! Yes. My only other suggestion might have been Foxglove, but lilacs would be much better for wreaths. I like that idea." He regains his composure enough to spare Rondelethia a glance, smiling gently as he lets his wing pull her in a little closer.
Rondelethia: "Well, we can maybe include some of those around the sides" She nods back, smiling "Any thoughts on food? Or is it a bit early for that"
Calgwen: "Maybe? I would like to involve some of the local merchants of course. Perhaps reach out to ask about some catering? I'm sure the farms can accomodate with enough warning."
Rondelethia: "Aye, though I don't know how many people will be invited. How many would be coming from your side?"
Calgwen leans back, gaining a bit of a distant look. "...Luella might be convinced to come... maybe one or two more, but not many."
Rondelethia: "Well, they're all very welcome" She muses "Perhaps they could find their own rabbits~" Mild matchmaking instincts bubbling underneath it seems!
Calgwen chuckles, "I already send Luella letters. An invitation shall be easy enough. But if you want to introduce her to your family, feel free!"
Rondelethia: "She's sure to hit it off. I'm quite confident" She nods "Oh! We need a flower girl. Do we know any small adorable children?"
Calgwen shakes his head, "None? I've seen children in the market, but I don't know any myself. We would need a ring bearer as well? Any younger children in your family who would be attending?"
Rondelethia: "I've not inquired, but I'm sure there's someone around that works" She clucks her tongue "Oh, it's a minor point. I'm sure we can find someone that works"
Calgwen hums, "Aelia Croise has set up a dance academy, I could try to hire her for entertainment. Though she seems rather shy to perform anymore, and I've not been able to get in touch with her for some time. I'm sure Enver would be willing to help us find some musicians."
Rondelethia: "All that sounds good. It's not going to be that big of a ceremony I hope, so hopefully fairly low pressure? It's not like anyone would be the center of attention" She muses "Yeah, some background music is good too"
Calgwen lifts a hand to set on Rondelethia's leg. "Well, a low key, low pressure ceremony, all the easier to get you to the reception in one piece."
Rondelethia blushes a little, even now! "Sounds good" She leans back into him "Any other ideas?"
Calgwen rubs her leg gently, thinking, "Dress, theme, flowers, guests, food, entertainment... we covered quite a bit. Honestly, so long as you're happy, I shall be as well. I can start making the basic arrangements today."
Rondelethia would then get into the gritty little dealings of the organisation, only mildly distracted by various head, and leg rubs

MARKET SQUARE - AFTERNOON
----------------------------------------------
Mia had many exciting things in her life, but she also had a job. So today she was back at her nice new upgraded stall, sitting down. fiddling with some small device while people passed by through the market, occasionally stopping and making purchases. She didn't terribly mind the breaks from her work though, as it seems she wasn't making all that much headway with what she had in front of her
Erika wanders through the marketplace, carrying a basket full of various herbs with the intent of delivering them to various recipients, but as usual the okapi keeps getting distracted by being friendly to most everyone. She waves at Mia as she nears her, smiling brightly.
Mia: "Hey Erika!" She waves out, getting distracted from her work "Whatcha got going on there?"
Erika shrugs and spins a bit as she walks closer: "Eh, nothing much! Just normal stuff for peoples. How about you?"
Mia: "Just making mostly normal stuff for people. I'm actually trying to make a few normal things this week. Challenge myself" She chuckles
Erika giggles: "Normal is boring, but someone's gotta do that too. Though I guess what I think normal average plants are strange to others."
Mia: "Well, I like making things that are really out there to feel normal, it means that..it's accepted, and it's not weird" She flicks her mechanical tail "Y'know, it's nice that people know what I am, but think that it's normal, and just..see I'm the same person?" She muses "I might be projecting a bit there though"
Erika: "Whatever 'weird' even means, these days. I still think I should have freaked out more about the 'four hooves' part, but I didn't."
Mia: "Well, if its happening, getting freaked out isn't really helpful. That's what I thought at least"
Erika shrugs: "True. I kinda did freak out the first time it happened, definitely did not help. Or change anything."
Mia: "Yeah, I ..well, maybe I should have freaked out more, but I didn't, and I can't go back and freak out now to make up for it!"
Erika muses: "Hmm, I suppose that wouldn't make much sense. Though I suppose I could strip out and go flail about the marketplace, but that'd just make things more confusing for everyone."
Mia: "It would certainly give everyone something to talk about at least" She stretches "I could do the same, but I don't think anyone would notice.."
Erika smirks: "I think I would, standing right here."]
Mia: "Well" She rubs the back of her head "There's nothing much to really show, unless I want there to be? It's..weird"
Erika tilts her head: "How does... how does that even work?"
Mia: "Well..I mean..." She pulls down the top, and..well, while the rising of her chest is more prominent, there's nothing 'lewd' there "It's like..a natural bit? It's hard to explain"
Erika tilts her head the other way: "...buh. I guess if it works for you, it works?"
Mia: "Well, it's just what this body is like. It's sort of a natural top? Or unnatural?" She shrugs "I don't think about it too much"
Erika: "Probably for the better. Overthinking just gets one headaches."
Mia: "I have better things to think about anyway"
Erika giggles: "I just do, and leave thinking for people smarter than me. I have a garden to tend to. And one with plants, too."
Mia: "Hey now! You're smart. Especially with the garden stuff"
Erika: "Dunno, anyone could probably do it. It's almost all my Mom's knowledge, anyway." Lies, even she knows it's lies but someone's gotta keep her honest, might as well be herself.
Mia: "I assure you, speaking as someone that's tried Gardening, not everyone can do it"
Erika shrugs and looks aside: "Well maybe. But it's like... so essential stuff to know, why don't more people do it?"
Mia: "Well, I think what I do is super easy for me, but I know that some people can't do what I do"
Erika: "True. What you do is kind of incomprehensible to me. Like I couldn't even tell what most of your creations do..."
Mia: "Ahuh, and I know exactly how all of them work, just like I bet you know exactly what all your plants need to grow"
Erika: "Most of the time." She shrugs: "Well, whenever they don't turn out to be new plants I don't know what they want. I could get Melia to just talk to them for me, but she creeps me out when she does that..."
Mia: "I can't really say anything about that. I don't know Melia that well, only that well...she's sort of connected to you in some way"
Erika hums, then sighs: "Yeah, she's sorta-kinda made from my essence, except also not, and well I'm not magic in any sense and she is. We're similar and sort of not and it's really going to that overthinking department I don't like to do."
Mia: "Yeah, I get that confused feeling, but annnyway" Moving on "What about this herbs?"
Erika blinks, then starts talking excitedly about her basket of herbs, the momentary weirded annoyance already forgotten (for the most part). The two talk shop and friendship and random nonsense for a while before parting ways.
