RESPITE FALLS MARKET - MORNING
----------------------------------------------
Strix: Strix was exiting the market, with a variety of items in a cart, an assortment of metals, wiring, a rather large box of wingnuts, an assortment of glass cups, and, finally, an extra large beef steak, all piled on top of a large variety of other junk that he had purchased. He was returning to his alleyway, casting furtive looks around the place, to see if anyone was following him, trying to steal/rob/mug/killify/turnintoafourleggedreptile, all sorts of things like that. He's not paranoid (who told you that he was!?)
Enver is also leaving the market, heading toward where he had stashed his tent and other gear for the day. He doesn't pay particular notice to the kobold with the overloaded cart, as it's not the most unusual sight in a busy market, but he does notice when one of the glass cups rolls off of the pile of stuff and lands in the dirt. A few seconds later, when Strix has scurried off none the wiser, Enver picks up the cup and starts jogging to catch up to the kobold. "Hey! You dropped something."
Strix: "!" He lets a small koboldy noise of alarm, looking around at the sound of approach, before dialing it back a single notch, and pauses, before suspiciously taking the cup back, putting it back on the Cart "Strix Thanks you" He regards Enver carefully, like searching for a trap, or a trick, or perhaps..he glances around quickly.no..it's not a distraction for an ambush either... "Not seen around before. New to city?"
Enver hands over the cup without a second thought and smiles. "Not a problem, mister. I've been in town for a few weeks now... I perform in the marketplace. You might have seen me juggling or balancing or the like?" He gives the kobold a better look over, his eyes lingering on the kobold's magitech arm.
Strix: "Strix notice. Strix always more focused on stall, for people taking Strix's shinies. Strix always worried that performers distractions. Strix remember juggler good though" Noticing the draw of the eye, Strix motions a little uncomfortably "Seeing Strix's Armshiny?"
Enver nods. "Yeah, just don't see too many folks around missing parts, and well..." He holds out his right hand to Strix, showing that the outer three fingers and part of the palm are a stiff prosthetic that's strapped on to the rest of the hand, though it at least doesn't look too fake at only a glance.
Strix: "Ah" Strix nods, understanding "Interested because own hand is not moving" He peers at the hand, mind whizzing "Strix nearly finished current shinyplan. Could make replacement after.." He taps his claws on the trolly "Strix can take coins, and then make what you want, or no coins, and Strix have own plans. Strix prefers doing Strix's own thing, but Strix understand if take coin instead"
Enver blinks. "I don't have money for anything like that... I'm not a beggar... but it would be nice to have something that could move a bit, yeah..." He looks down a bit. "I mean... I guess you understand."
Strix: "Strix charges based on how much shinies they have" He waves the issue away "No worries! Strix likes making shinies, and having new shinyplans.." He picks up the glass that had been recovered, and considers it thoughtfully "Say, not know name, you like glass?"
Enver cocks his head a bit, taking a moment to parse Strix's words. "Oh, I'm Enver... and you're Strix? And it's a nice glass, but it's yours. I was just returning it."
Strix: "People always guess Strix's name..always confuses Strix..." He comments idly "No..No, Strix means... glass.. what glass is made of" He takes the material.
Enver looks at the glass again and blinks. "Well, you keep saying your name... and glass is nice, but a little fragile. I would need to be careful if I was juggling it. I have done bottles from time to time, but it's harder with the bad hand. Much harder than something round..."
Strix: "Glass can be made very strong" He doesn't usually use the 'off the cuff' sort of magic, but a demonstration was in order. He roots around in his trolley for a few things, and wraps the glass up in a few bits of wire, before touching the glass to his prosthetic hand, and tossing it to the ground, where it bounced back up, and he caught it again. "Metal would be stronger again, but glass would be prettier, and Strix not think Enver be punching many walls?"
Enver blinks. "Uh, not really no. Not much for punching really..." He laughs a bit and looks at what Strix is doing. "So did you make your own arm?"
Strix: "Yes!" Strix taps his arm "Strix always making arm better. Always Shinyproject. Strix very proud of arm"
Enver smiles. "You should be... it's kind of amazing..." He looks around the roadway as foot and cart traffic keeps having to divert around the pair. "Maybe this isn't the best place to talk though? We seem to be in the way of a lot of folks."
Strix: "Yes. Good point. Strix has alleyway. Can talk there.." He regards Enver suspiciously again for a moment, before deciding..well..'they' probably knew about his alleyway at this point anyway, so bringing him back was no harm. "Strix's alley is where he works"
Enver nods to Strix. "Sounds good... lead the way."
Strix brings them over to Strix's alley/workshop, with the kobold pushing the trolley off to the side, to be worried about later "Okay! Strix can make plans now" He takes out a piece of paper that was laying around, and very quickly sketches out Enver's hand, and what it looks like, without the prosethetic. He's been looking at it since they were talking, and so had a pretty decent grasp on the dimensions. He then adds in a bunch of squiggles inside the hand "See. This is the..uh..inner wires in the hand, that make the hand work. Need to join those wires up, to wires that Strix would make" He taps the hand "Problem. When body loses bits. Wires get..pushed back" He rubs out a few of the squiggles, so there's a blank spot between the edges of the 'wound' and where all those squiggles start "Could make..uh...holes? Into the hand, but Strix not surgeon..or just take off whole hand, make all glass. Strix could do that by Strix's self"
Enver takes off the prosthetic so that Strix can get a better look at the hand. "Ah, well, I was born like this, though... so I never really lost the bits, they just, didn't really grow at all?" There are a few bumps that might be vestigal fingers, but certainly not at all functional. "And I'd rather not lose the whole hand..."
Strix: "Okay, Strix understands" He takes out a small, blunt needle, to poke at the hand, working out where the nerves are (Though he doesn't look at it like that) "If never have fingers, going to be tricky to learn. Like trying to learn to wave third arm" He hrms "If can find good surgeon willing to help, can make plans to fit new fingers with little cutting, Strix could try learning..but Strix not best idea if other can be found..."
Enver winces a bit at the pokes, the whole hand having good nerve response. "Ow... and uh, no offence, mister, but I'd rather a professional do that sort of thing. There's a town doctor, right?"
Strix: "Yes. Good doctor. Put Strix back together lots of times" He considers the matter "Could make plans up for Doc to follow. Not hard, but like..speaking Foreign. Easy, if know how already" He's not remotely offended by the implication that a half mad kobold would not be the best idea for delicate hand surgery.
Enver ponders. "Well, I mean, if it'll give me a whole hand that works, yeah..." He looks around Strix's alleyway as he reattaches the prosthetic. "You... make a lot of stuff here. You must be really smart."
Strix: "Strix not smart. Strix just willing to learn from mistakes, and Strix make lots of mistakes" His current 'project' is in some sort of glass making, as evidenced by a small kiln in the back of the alley and..a lot of horribly misformed casts of different items, a bucket of broken bits of glass, and lots of other errors. There is one glowy glass ball on the table however, gently strobing while being hooked up to his generator.
Enver nods. "Same way you learn anything. I took a lot of turnips to the head before I learned to juggle well, yeah..." He laughs a bit. "So uh... what happened to your arm?"
Strix: "Strix was learning" Strix shrugs "Strix was trying to make acids to melt through metals. Strix make acid very well. Strix forget to not make acids melt through Scales"
Enver winces a bit. "Ouch... I'm sorry..." He fiddles with his prosthetic a bit, trying to settle it into place. To someone with a keen eye, like Strix, it's clear that Enver has probably had a growth spurt since the prosthetic was made and so it's just a bit too small for his hand at the moment.
Strix: "Strix learned. Now Strix make metalmelter that doesn't melt Strix!" He took note of that indeed, but for the moment, was going to focus on designing his 'grand shiny', Strix haates 'stopgap solutions', and has already had to do that once this year "Strix will make first plan of shiny, then if doctor found, Strix can make replacement"
Enver nods. "Thank you... you really don't have to... but thank you. I'll find some way to pay you back for it..." He almost has tears in his eyes as he looks at the kobold. "I mean, if you ever need help around here, I'm happy to do what I can..."
Strix: "Strix not worry about payment. Strix like making shinies!" He motions him away "Now! Shoo! Strix has planning to make!"
Enver blinks. "Oh! Um, of course..." He heads out at a good pace, having plenty to process from this meeting.

OUTSIDE THE SOUTH GATE - EARLY AFTERNOON
----------------------------------------------
Cavro glances over his shoulder slightly nervously as the South Gate slowly creeps away, quietly sighing to himself as he turns and looks to Erika with a nervous smile. He adjusts the basket of light snacks in his right hand, gently setting his free hand on Erika's back as they walk.
Erika walks alongside Cavro, keeping a steady pace even as her ears and occasionally her gaze flick to various directions in search of potential predators. She pauses in her walk for a second, staring at a particular rock formation for a second before continuing, shaking her head. "Sorry. Harder to ignore my feels for surroundings, here."
Cavro nods, chuckling, if a bit nervously. "Trust me, I I I think being reminded of how leaving the walls feels... It's a a a bit revealing of how you've been feeling. At least if we're both at at at full attention, nothing bad can happen~"
Erika nods slightly, stopping in her steps and looking into the distance: "It's... weird. Like it's all me, but like... so much more alert and aware and skittish and scared."
Cavro steps closer to Erika, leaning against her for a moment to reassure her. "Well the expedition's been back for for for a while now... What's happened with the flowers?" He looks to his right at a scrub that shuffled in the breeze, lingering on it for a moment before turning forward again.
Erika sighs a bit at the Yet Another Nothing that emerges from the scrub, then shakes her head: "The first cure did not work as we expected."
Cavro falters in his step a bit, looking to Erika. "O-oh... I'm sorry... Did something bad happen? Who did they try it on?"
Erika shakes her head, and after another glance-and-listen to their surroundings, sits down rather unceremoniously: "Garwin, one of the guards... the bear that chased me, actually. It... well, he can somewhat talk now, but is like I am otherwise." She sighs, lowering her head down to the ground.
Cavro kneels beside Erika, setting the basket down and hugging around her neck, forgetting his nerves completely. "That is is isn't so bad, though, is it? I mean, it's a step in the right direction... Perhaps it will just take a while for it to take full effect? Or a a a lot of doses?" He sighs, shaking his head. "Did Doctor Plume have any other ideas?"
Erika leans into the hug best she can, closing her eyes: "They suggested I try the cure on myself, to help dull the... instincts, but... what if s-something goes wrong?"
Cavro gently strokes his fingers through her fur, thinking for a moment. "I'm glad you're being cautious, honestly, and and and not just rushing to try, but... I'm really looking forward to to to having you back to yourself." He nuzzles briefly against her neck, chuckling quietly. "Even if your your your fur is a bit softer and warmer than before."
Erika chuckles at the last comment despite her mood: "...it is?"
Cavro nods, "A bit, maybe just a a a little thicker?" He blushes, pulling his face away from her slowly, clearing his throat.
Erika turns her head enough to look at Cavro: "Silly badger. Love you~."
Cavro smiles warmly, though he hesitates for a brief moment. "Love you too, my my my beautiful okapi~"
Erika lets out a soft giggle, then leans to nuzzle Cavro: "Best thing, you~." She pauses, her tone wavering: "I-I'll... I will get b-better for you yet."
Cavro blushes, hugging Erika again. "Just don't do do do anything dangerous." He sighs, closing his eyes for a moment. "You said that the the the bear can talk now? Has he been told about you yet?"
Erika tilts her head, blinking: "I... I don't know?"
Cavro opens his eyes, giving Erika a bit of a smile. "Okay, I I I was just curious. Not sure what that would even accomplish." His stomach gives him a little warning, prompting the badger top open the basket and fetch a fresh bun, tearing it in half for them.
Erika happily takes the offered bun from Cavro's hands: "Mmm." She munches on it for a moment before continuing: "Maybe I could talk. If I can without running..."
Cavro nods, getting through his own snack in a hurry. "Mhm... If if if you want to, of course. Maybe he he he remembers, or maybe he doesn't. Of course, it can wait until you are both back to to to your old selves."
Erika looks about again, nodding absently. "Perhaps... I don't know. I just... want to get things right."
Cavro shakes his head, leaning against Erika's side again. "You didn't get anything wrong, Erika. It's not your fault, but it will all be set right, I I I'm sure of it."
Erika sighs again, leaning on Cavro best she can despite her size: "Y-yeah.... I just hope this isn't me from now on."
Cavro nods, slipping a bit. "Me too."
Erika goes quieter in her voice as she continues: "...would you... w-would you s-stay with me if..." she trails off, the words catching in her throat.
Cavro pauses, his drawn out silence perhaps speaking too much for him before he answers. "I will always be there for for for you, Erika."
Erika is still for a second before leaning onto nuzzle Cavro silently.
Cavro sighs softly, closing his eyes and hugging as tightly as he dares to her.
Erika sighs in almost-mirror: "...best I can ask for, you are."

THE THIRSTY MINNOW - LATE AFTERNOON
----------------------------------------------
Maybelline drags herself into the bar a bit tiredly, finding herself in a bit of a wait before she can push construction forward, she's been making the rounds around town checking on the power distribution and catching up on a backlog of magitech fixes longer then Louma. Right now, she just wants a moment to relax and get something to eat as she orders a sandwich and a coffee.
Senyi happens to be visiting for her own coffee as well. It's hard to mistake those ears sticking out
Bracvar is seated at the bar rather than a table for once, his legs kept tucked in as he seems to be seriously contemplating the items spread before him. A plate of root vegetables and sweet fruits, a tankard of water, and a small sack of coins tied tightly.
Maybelline smiles at the familiar folks inside, waving, "Hey um... oh heck... names." She closes her eyes a moment, clearly struggling. "Senny? And... it's... definitely not Brandon... it's Brack? Something close to that. I'm so bad at names, sorry, everyone. But um, hi."
Bracvar glances up and around to the familiar voice, giving a grin under his tendrils. "Good afternoon, miss mechanic. How fare you today?" His voice is a bit quieter than normal, though still full of his typical cheer.
Maybelline gives the crab a ragged smile and lets out a breath. "Hoo. It's hot, and I'm tired, but a good day. I've been keeping busy at least."
Bracvar chuckles. "Just today? I figure Respite is always just a little too hot."
Senyi: "Very hot. Incredibly hot, even. I'm used to how it's like near the ocean... I kind of miss it." She takes a quick drink from her cup.
Maybelline shrugs, "Never lived all that close to the ocean, but I'm definitely from further north then... here. I moved here at the end of winter and it was so hot my summer coat came in before I got off the boat!"
Bracvar nods. "Aye, the ocean is ideal, but there's a lot to be gained coming out to frontier towns. How do you mean by winter coat though, miss May?"
Maybelline: "Eh? Oh... my fur. I get this long, white fur in the winter, and it grows in shorter and brown in the summer. Well, usually. I don't even know if it'll even get cold enough for a winter coat here Respite. That'll be... weird."
Bracvar nods, turning back to his food and plucking some of his roasted potato up with a fork. "Well, that will be interesting to see! Respite doesn't get cold, but it does get cooler in the late months."
Maybelline quirks her mouth in thought, "Well, I hope so. I dunno. I think I look nicer in winter."
Senyi just gives May a strange look like she's trying to figure out how that'd be
Maybelline tilts her head at Senyi's look, "Eh? What?"
Bracvar laughs before taking a swig of his water. "Maybe you'll get used to it enough t'trick your body. You could sleep in my cart for a couple weeks if you like, have to charge you a fee for that, though."
Maybelline blinks, "Eh? Oh, no no no. I'm perfectly happy with my current sleeping arrangements, thank you."
Bracvar shrugs. "That's fine, probably jus' make you sick anyways, what with all the fish smell." He returns to his meal, chuckling quietly to himself.
Senyi decides to strike up more of a conversation. "May, how is the progress on the generator? It's been a while, it would seem."
Maybelline sighs at Senyi, "It's a bit stuck at the moment." She raises her fingers, "Two factors. The blacksmith I'm working with is... indisposed. Understandably so, mind you. It's just... unfortunate circumstances." She frowns, sending some thoughts Erika and Cavro's way. "And two, I need the containment cell before I can start any significant work anyways, since that's the heart of the thing." She does eye Senyi a little curiously after saying that.
Senyi closes her eyes and finishes her drink. "I assume those two problems are related somehow?" She sets it down and looks at her palm, occasionally closing her fingers.
Bracvar finishes the last of the vegetables on his plate, setting the fork down. "My offer still stands on acquiring parts for you, miss mechanic." He glances toward her. "Although I plan on leaving within a couple days from now."
Maybelline shakes her head, "Not quite. The containment cell itself I've made arrangements for. It's not quite metal, and has a lot of special requirements. Gotta be able to contain a high level of wild magic... and..." She blinks at Bracvar. "OH! Right! I have a list of parts I wrote up for just that purpose! ...back on my planning table."
Bracvar grins, nodding. "I'll drop by to pick it up tomorrow, then, not a problem." He turns to Senyi, smiling under his tendrils. "So you're interested in magitech as well, miss...?"
Senyi rubs her fingers and thumb together. "Interested... does making it my profession count as 'interested', I wonder?"
Bracvar chuckles. "I would certainly hope so!"
Maybelline chuckles, "So about as interested in it as I am. I wish I was better at the magic part of it... There's a skunk in town, Elizabeth, who's offered to power the containment cell once it's ready." She glances at Senyi, "You uh... don't happen to know anything about that process do you? We're kind of winging it, and the Mage guilds that have powered up the generators elsewhere have always kept that process a secret."
Senyi sighs, but nods. "Never understood why they're so keen on nobody else knowing. Unfortunately for them I know exactly how it works."
Bracvar opens his one visible eye in surprise. "Oh? Well, that's some dangerous information to have, indeed."
Senyi: "Maybe I like being dangerous."
Maybelline lifts an eyebrow. "I know Elizabeth said it's very..." She lowers her voice a little, "Draining? But maybe you can talk with her about it."
Bracvar shakes his head, though grinning. "A shame that they have a limit on how much they can give away, hmm? I can see why mages wouldn't want that being wide spread knowledge."
Senyi coughs a bit. "Well, should you need any assistance, you can call upon me, of course?" She extends a hand out.
Maybelline takes Senyi's hand in agreement, "Of course!"
Senyi withdraws her hand afterward. "Will it be started soon?"
Maybelline casually takes her hand back and nods. "I think so, yeah."
Senyi takes in a deep breath, but doesn't respond. She seems to be deep in thought.
Maybelline turns to the bar as the barkeep delivers her sandwich. "It's my biggest worry... if the magic cell is charged and secured, everything else should go smoothly."
Bracvar hears the door of the Minnow open, though it swings closed without anyone coming in. He stands without looking that way, dropping some coins from his apron onto the bar top before picking up the jingling sack and nodding to the other two. "Well, this discussion is a bit beyond me, I'm afraid. Enjoy the rest of your day, I'll see you bright and early tomorrow for that list, May!"
Maybelline waves to Bracvar, mouth already half-full of sandwich, "Mmm'll 'ee oooh 'ommorrrow, 'Rackwaa!"
Senyi shudders as he hears May talk with her mouth full. "Please, restrain yourself if you can."
Maybelline covers her mouth with a hand, swallows and blushes a bit in embarrassment, "Ah, sorry."
Bracvar laughs, waving to Maybelline. "Aye! And good to meet you as well, miss!" He turns and ducks out of the door into the street, detouring to the alley next to the Minnow before heading to his cart in the market.

NESSETH'S HOUSE - EVENING
----------------------------------------------
Vix lounges on the couch as usual, perusing one of the books in Nesseth's collection
Nesseth enters his house through the front door, having just finished with a (non-strenuous per doctor's orders) patrol around the town's walls. Uneventful, thankfully, but he still couldn't help feeling a bit naked carrying a spear from the barracks instead of his usual crossbow. Now, with the equipment left back at the barracks, he yawns as he shuts the door behind him, having missed that the room's lights are already on.
Vix purrs quietly as Nesseth enters the house, and peeks at him over her book.
Nesseth blinks dumbly for a moment as he opens his eyes again, only to see that all the lights in the main room of his house are on. He looks around a bit, then notices Vix on the sofa. He gives her a lop-sided smile. "Evening, Vix."
Vix giggles. "You looked tired, so I decided not to spook you~"
Nesseth hums and nods as he moves over to the sofa. "Thanks, I appreciate it."
Vix makes a little space for Nesseth. "You also look ready to relax~"
Nesseth flops onto the offered spot, only to wince a touch as his shoulders shift to match the contours of his seat. The pain fades a lot faster than before, though. "Afternoon patrols always make me feel a bit sleepy."
Vix flops across Nesseth's lap. "Spending the day in the sun will do that to ya~"
Nesseth moves his arms aside so Vix can flop comfortably, then starts to gently pet her once she's settled. "I'm sure you know it pretty well, sunning yourself in the marketplace while your shop's open."
Vix sticks out her tongue. "The sun in Respite feels so good. I can't help it~"
Nesseth chuckles and playfully ruffles some of Vix's black fur. "Neither can I, really. It's a job trying to keep myself awake when I'm posted at a gate during the middle of the day."
Vix: I bet if we switched jobs, we'd still have the same problem~
Nesseth smiles. "Yeah, probably. We're just too good at sleeping in warm weather, aren't we?"
Vix wiggles a bit and grabs onto Nesseth's arm as his fingers brush against her stomach. "We're just saving our energy for when we really need it~"
Nesseth smirks as Vix grabs his arm, and he continues to gently scratch her stomach. "Wherever it's needed, and for whatever reason."
Vix blinks as she remembers something. "Oh, speaking of energy, I tried making some sandwiches. There's a couple left in the kitchen!"
Nesseth blinks and looks over at the kitchen doorway from his position on the sofa. "Oh? What kind of sandwiches?"
Vix shrugs. "Meat...cheese...greens...maybe some butter or fruit preserves if you like~"
Nesseth hums and licks his lips for a moment. "That sounds pretty tasty." He pauses, then smiles down at Vix, "I'd like to try it out, but... you seem pretty comfortable, here."
Vix grins. "I'll let you up if you bring me one too~"
Nesseth laughs a bit. "Well, you made two, after all. It'd be a bit mean of me to just grab one, or eat both or something."
Vix: Technically I made three but ate one earlier~
Nesseth chuckles again. "Must be pretty good, then."
Vix sits up a bit to let Nesseth get up. "See for yourself~"
Nesseth nods and pushes himself back up off of the sofa, then stretches. "Sounds good to me. I'll be right back with the sandwiches, then."
Vix hums and watches Nesseth head to the kitchen over the edge of the couch
Nesseth vanishes into the kitchen for a few seconds, then comes back out carrying the two sandwiches on a couple of small plates. He smiles as he passes one to Vix, then settles down on the cushions next to her again. "They smell really good."
Vix gratefully takes the sandwich and admires it for a moment. "Thanks! I tried adding a little seasoning to spice them up, too~"
Nesseth examines his sandwich a bit. "Yeah, I could smell some extras in there." He smiles, then takes a nibble out of it.
Vix bites into her sandwich, getting a good portion of berry jam along with the rest of the toppings. "Mmm~"
Nesseth hums as he chews for a bit, then swallows, having gotten a pretty good taste of just about everything in the sandwich. "Pretty tasty! It's got a good mix of flavors."
Vix chuckles. "I might have gone a bit overboard with toppings...oh well~"
Nesseth smiles. "At least you kept a good balance." He pauses, then glances at Vix after a moment, "Uh... how much of the stuff in the pantry did you use to make these, by the way?"
Vix: Umm...a couple pounds...
Nesseth chuckles as he takes another bite of food. "Across three sandwiches? That's not bad. I might need to go on a short hunt some time next week, though."
Vix takes another bit of hers and hums happily. "I'll bring you some cookies next time~"
Nesseth playfully nudges Vix's side. "Sounds like a deal if you want to do that. You know I don't really mind."
Vix playfully nudges back. "I could also make it up to you some other way~"
Nesseth smiles a bit more warmly. "However you want to, Vix. I won't argue either way~"
Vix leans against Nesseth while she continues to enjoy her sandwich~
Nesseth leans lightly against Vix in turn as he nibbles his way through his own sandwich. After a few minutes, he looks over at Vix again, then raises an eyebrow when he notices a little something off about her. "...By the way, how long were you dressed in just your undergarments?"
Vix blushes a little. "Oh, just a couple hours. It was hot!"
Nesseth chuckles and nods. "Yeah, I guess it was. Aren't you starting to get a little cold, though? It's already getting into the evening."
Vix snuggles closer to Nesseth. "It's easy to keep warm next to you, Ness~. But I might feel even warmer under a blanket~~"
Nesseth sneaks his tail around behind Vix and lets it lightly wrap around her waist as he nibbles on the last bits of his sandwich. "A blanket would help us retain the heat, I'm sure~"
Vix chomps down the last of her sandwich and grabs a blanket from the back of the couch. "Mmm, how convenient!"
Nesseth looks over at the blanket as Vix pulls it into view. "That's convenient, for sure. Probably just meant to be!"
Vix purrs as she spreads the blanket out over them both. "Ah, it's fate~~"
Nesseth slips his free arm around Vix's shoulders and gives her a warm hug. "Thanks for the sandwich, by the way. It was really good~"
Vix kisses Nesseth's cheek. "Only thanks to your quality ingredients~"
Nesseth chuckles, blushing just a touch at the kiss. "Nah... it's the amount of care you put into making them, I bet." He tilts his head a bit and gives Vix a light peck on the nose.
Vix settles into Nesseth's embrace and snuggles closer. "Now we've got plenty of energy, right~?"
Nesseth hums as he hugs Vix a little more closely. "That we do~"
Vix goes in for a proper kiss, letting it linger while she shares her warmth~
Nesseth hums into the kiss as he hugs Vix a little more warmly, coincidentally pulling her a bit more completely onto his lap beneath the blanket as the two while away the evening snuggled under a warm blanket.
