A Few Hours Later
Delia snuggles with Gillian. Only slightly awkwardly.
Gillian snoozes lightly alongside Delia, having fallen asleep at some point in the night. One arm is wrapped loosely around the werecorgi.
Delia smiles in her sleep. Been a while since she's done that.
Gillian lets out a little yawn, starting to awaken. She murmurs a bit, "Mmmhm? Iss the movie over already?"
Delia blinks slowly awake: "Mmhmmm?" She takes several moments to piece together the situation as she glances around. Dark outside, and time has definitely passed more than their movie's length. "Oh. One could say so..."
Gillian slowly blinks. "Hmmm...? O-oh... Oh... sorry? I guess... not used to being out so late..." She doesn't seem to make much effort to move though, just blushing as she glances aside.
Delia likewise doesn't make much of a move, though she starts blushing at the closeness. "Eh heh. Guess that's okay, now..."
Gillian pauses, dragging out a bit of a silence whilst still not moving. "I uh... I guess I feel asleep here... that's... very weird. And um, unlike me. I hope this isn't too... awkward? I um..." She falls silent again, just looking down at Delia with a red face.
Delia looks up with an equally red face, but doesn't otherwise seem exactly bothered: "I uh... Fell asleep too. But... It's okay." She gives a silly little smile.
Gillian giggles at Delia's smile. "It is your home, so... uh... I could go back to my room now." She glances towards the window, seeing how dark it is outside. "It's pretty late though..."
Delia hesitates for half a second, before suggesting the obvious: "W-well... I only have the one bed, but if you do not mind..." Yep, definitely smiling silly and blushing, but one has to make sure of these things.
Gillian's eyes widen in surprise, "I wouldn't want to be an inconvenience! I mean, uh... I wouldn't mind... me, that is. It's just... sharing a bed. And... oh gosh." She looks down at Gillian, half terrified and half overly-eager. "I'd... I'd like that."
Delia giggles nervously, but her grin is unmistakable: "I d-definitely would not mind... would kinda uh enjoy it..." She looks at them, still holding each other close: "As uh sorta might be obvious I guess."
Gillian nods, smiling at Delia. She shifts her hand to find Delia's, squeezing gently, "M-maybe a bit? But probably a bit obvious with me too. A-as long as you don't mind hooves in your bed, I um... I'll keep to my side. U-unless you'd rather I didn't..."
The werecorgi smiles sheepishly: "Might be small enough that declaring 'sides' would just get silly." She squeezes Gillian's side: "I think I like you close."
Gillian giggles at the squeeze, "Guess you should lead the way, then. You lead, and I'll follow."
Delia looks up and gives Gillian's neck a soft nuzzle: "... In a bit. Don't wanna get up yet."
Gillian lowers her head to nuzzle against Delia's neck in turn. She brings her other hand up and places it on the small of Delia's back, "W-well, I'm at your mercy."
Delia giggles at the touch: "Y-you know, I haven't really had anyone... Close like this, in a very long time." She looks at Gillian in the eyes: "I kinda like it. A lot."
Gillian frowns slightly, but can't keep it going as she stares back. "It's hard to believe. I... I've never had anyone close like this... Makes me worry I'm rushing into this, but then I look at you and it all feels right."
Delia smiles: "Well uh... At least we're rushing headlong into this, together?" She hums, then shrugs: "Feels good, guess that's all that matters for now."
Gillian snugs, sighing slightly, "Feels good not to be alone... yeah."
Delia gives a similar sigh: "You can probably read 'loneliness' from every inch of this place. I'm pretty pathetic, but if you'll have me around... " She gives a hopeful, warm smile.
Gillian shakes her head, "You're not pathetic! You're wonderful... this place is a little disorganized, but it's just a whole temple of experiences I've never had..." She laughs quietly, "Guess if your home says loneliness, my room says emptiness, but if you'll have me... I... it sounds like we solve each others problems."
Delia blinks: "... I hadn't thought of it like that. I guess we sorta can, huh." She smiles: "I think I would like exploring stuff with you. Possibly also things."
Gillian giggles, "Me too, uh, but with you."
Delia giggles, feeling a bit silly but not really caring at this point: "Well, then we have a plan. Uh, however loose one." Pause. "Bed?"
Gillian nods. "I always feel better when I have plan. Bed... bed is a good plan." She blushes, stroking her hand along Delia's back. "Bed with you is a better one."
Delia grins, then finally stretches and gets up: "W-weeelll, let's uh, do it." She turns to look at Gillian and offers her paw: "Just don't set your expectations too high."
Gillian's heart flutters as she rises from the couch, her little tail wiggling a bit after being sat on so long. She takes Delia's paw and gives the corgi a formal half-bow, "I have none. I... I guarantee that it won't be the worst thing I've slept on. With you here... far from the worst."
Delia giggles, giving Gillian a nod and a warm grin: "Well, if that's the case, we're good. Follow me!" She's not excited, nervous or completely jittery, you are just imagining it. And her tail definitely isn't wagging. She shows the way to her bedroom, a small room that's only slightly bigger than the old-but-solid king size bed in it.
Gillian lets Delia excitedly lead her through the small apartment to the bedroom, where she is confronted by a much larger bed than she's used to, prompting a short gasp, "Whoa..."
Delia looks at Gillian's reaction slightly disbelievingly: "I uh, okay." She shakes her head: "But yeah, it's my bed. Should be enough for both of us."
Gillian laughs it off awkwardly, letting go of Delia's hand. "Oh uh, sorry. It's just... never slept in a bed this big. Even at Ad-Hoc the room only has a twin bed... it's just new, and kinda neat?" She shrugs, a little embarrassed.
Delia smiles with a shrug: "Well, it's my bed. And uh I guess, sorta yours now too."
Gillian giggles, reaching up to start removing her dress and stripping down for bed. "My bed... that's... a lot to take in."
Delia removes her shirt, hesitating for maybe half a second before just revealing her braless chest. After all, she barely has anything visible due to all the fur. "W-well, you're too late to back out now, you've seen my bedroom." She's joking. Mostly.
Gillian continues undressing as well, carefully follding her clothing aside as she strips down nude. She's always slept in the nude, as it's just always felt more natural to her, and she's more nervous about the idea of sleeping alongside someone else than she is about being nude. Her chest is a little more ample, even with the fur. "It might have been too late for me long before now..." She smiles at Delia, joking as well... maybe. Not quite.
Delia finishes dropping her clothes unceremoniously to the floor, before sitting on the bed, inviting Gillian to join her. "Possibly. Suppose we only have one way to find out what terrors might await us, snuggling together for the night." She sounds braver than she is, but damn if she is going to mess this up with uncertainties right now.
Gillian giggles again, finishing setting her clothing aside in a very neat pile. She turns to sit on the bed next to Delia, reaching out to take her hand again. "Y-yeah. Not just in the same bed, but... Actually... Together." Sleeping. Together. Her face is bright red as the faun clutches Delia's hand tightly, just as nervous for nearly the same reasons.
Delia lightly squeezes Gillian's hand, then lets go enough to maneuver herself under the covers: "W-well, here we are. And.. you're kind of great, so there's that." She blushes: "...that sounded silly."
Gillian shifts along with Delia, getting herself into the bed alongside her, definitely the bigger spoon. "N-no, it didn't. You're great. Um. Too. We're both great. Both silly too, I think."
Delia giggles, blushing fiercely as she leans close towards Gillian: "Well uh, we'll just have to deal with that, then. Somehow." She looks at Gillian's decently endowed chest: "Um. Huh. You're bigger than you seem. N-not that I mind."
Gillian wiggles a bit self-consciously, "Oh uh... s-sorry? I mean... if you don't mind... I guess there's not much I can do about my size one way or the other..."
Delia giggles, leaning closer: "Technically, I can, but that's not really the same." She looks at Gillian's eyes: "But I don't care. You're you, and that's what matters."
Gillian stares back at Delia, breaking into a wide smile at the words. She scoots forward in bed to pull Delia into a close hug. "You're wonderful, Delia. Thank you."
Delia smiles, blushing: "Don't say that... or do, I guess, since you already did." She giggles at her own silliness with words.
Gillian sniffs, giggling along with Delia. "I'm going to say it, a-and I'll probably say it again. So... g-guess you'll have to get used to that too."
Delia leans over to give Gillian's neck a soft nuzzle: "Probably my fate then. I think I will live. Cause you are are great."
Gillian eases up on the hug, but keeps her arms around Delia and hums, feeling far too cozy as she already starts to drift towards sleep. "I think I can live with this."
Delia closes her eyes, leaning into the hug as as she does: "Mm... I think I like this~." The corgi is very comfy right now.
Gillian clings to Delia as she falls asleep, smiling warm and cozy, "Me too~"
Delia smirks, already well on her way to sleep: "Mm...~"
